International Lecturers

Dr. Cagatay Akarcay

Dr. Cagatay Akarcay is currently employed as a faculty member and vice chair in the Department of Business Administration at Yeditepe University. He completed his PhD in Accounting and Finance at Marmara University. He teaches courses on accounting (financial, cost, managerial and tax) and finance at undergraduate and graduate level. His research interests include international financial accounting standards, sustainability reporting, and taxation.

Harry Costin

Harry Costin holds a doctorate degree in Business Strategy from Boston University and a master’s degree in Education from Harvard University. He has over twenty five years of academic experience and has worked as an academic and a consultant in North, Central, and South America, in Europe, North Africa and Central Asia.
He likes to teach at DHBW Karlsruhe as he is strongly committed to the cooperative education system which which combines on-the-job training and academic studies.
 

Prof. Dr. Guner Gursoy

Prof. Dr. Guner Gursoy is faculty member in the Department of Business Administration at Yeditepe University. He received his PhD in Finance degree from Bilkent University, Ankara Turkey. His research area is mainly on corporate finance, investment, supply chain finance, management control system design, supply chain management and procurement.

Dr. Abey Kuruvilla

Dr.Abey Kuruvilla is an Associate Professor in the Department of Business, of the University of Wisconsin Parkside in Wisconsin. He completed his Ph.D in Industrial Engineering at the University of Louisville, Kentucky, USA in 2005. He teaches Operations Management at undergraduate and graduate level at the University of Wisconsin and Cross Cultural Communication and Negotiation in his overseas appointments.

David Moulton

David Moulton has worked in higher education for the last 29 years as a member of staff in a business school. His subject areas cover quality management, project management and operations management, looking at not just the theoretical aspects of the subject but also the importance they have in the workplace and their practical application. David currently teaches quality process improvement to final year undergraduates and incorporates the six sigma yellow and green belt awards as part of the course.
In addition to his work in education, David is a regular broadcaster on the BBC both radio and TV providing comment and analysis on business related issues.
 

Agnes Neher

Agnes Neher is in the final stage of her Ph.D. at the German University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart. Currently, she is working as a consultant at Detecon (Switzerland) AG in the Sustainability Management Team. Her research focuses lie on the social reporting activities of institutional Investors, on the relationship between national ESG culture and sovereign bond yields, and on regulation regarding Responsible Investment in the EU.
She is motivated to teach at the DHBW as it gives her the chance lecturing in an international setting with students from all over the world. Especially discussing moral and cultural financial issues is enriched by the different cultural backgrounds.
 

Dr. Magdalena Paleczny-Zapp

Dr. Magdalena Paleczny-Zapp is full-time Associate Professor of International Business and Cross-cultural Management at Augsburg College, Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is the coordinator of the International Business area in the undergraduate program and the leader of the Augsburg MBA International Study Abroad Program. She completed her Ph.D. at the Krakow University of Economics, Krakow Poland. Her research topics are: social, cultural and economic aspects of political transformation, the European Union, cross-cultural management and cross countries labor mobility.
She enjoys teaching students at the DHBW as they come from all over the world.

Mariusz Soltanifar

Mariusz Soltanifar currently works as a Marketing Lecturer at the International Business School at Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen in The Netherlands. He has been working as a lecturer of entrepreneurship, business and marketing in several countries. He did his PhD in Poland at the University of Lodz and research in Australia and the United States. During his Master’s degree in International Marketing awarded by the University of Lodz in Poland he also studied at the DHBW Karlsruhe as an exchange student. Coming back to Karlsruhe as an international lecturer is a great pleasure for him

Harvey Utech

Harvey Utech completed his Sc.D degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston, USA. Currently he gives lectures at various DHBW locations. He teaches Entrepreneurship, Managerial Finance and Selling and Sales Management. Coming from the USA but with a German background he enjoys being able to pass his knowledge on to the young international students of the DHBW.

Mehmet Yusuf Yahyagil

Mehmet Yusuf Yahyagil is a professor at the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Yeditepe University, Istanbul, Turkey. He has been lecturing primarily on the subject of organizational behavior and research methodology both at undergraduate and graduate level. His main research areas are: Organizational culture & climate, cross-cultural management, universal cultural values, subjective well-being, and relevant subjects.
He is very proud of lecturing students with many different cultural backgrounds and hopes that all of them can benefit of him as a lecturer as well.
