This event offers an introduction to ORCID and shows how the visibility of research output can be improved. In addition, we give an overview of KITopen and the library services.

This event will take place as an online seminar! 

Visibility and reputation can be considered currency for scientific relevance and impact. A central source for measuring the visibility is indexing in publication databases such as Scopus and OpenAlex. But the identification and correct mapping pose challenges for many databases.

Well-maintained research profiles help to correctly assign publications and strengthen the scientific identity. One open-source solution for this is ORCID, which can be linked to KITopen.
