First step: You have to apply at your home university for a study place at DHBW Karlsruhe. After a successful application your home university will nominate you.

Winter Semester: 1^st September – 28^th February

Lecture period: 01.09. - 31.12. (end of lectures usually before Christmas).

Extension of stay: 01.01. - 28.02. (departure flexible, e. g. participation in additional lectures, project work, internship).

Orientation sessions during the first two weeks of lectures. German intensive course during the semester.

Nomination by the university - Deadline: 1^st April
After being nominated by your home university, you will receive a link via e-mail for registration at DHBW.
Registration deadline for nominated students/submission of the relevant documents: 15^th April
 

Summer Semester: 1^st February – 31^st July

Lecture period: 01.02. - 15.06./30.06.

Extension of stay: 01.07. - 31.07. (departure flexible, e. g. participation in additional lectures, project work, internship).

Orientation sessions during the first two weeks of lectures. German intensive course during the semester.

Nomination by the university - Deadline: 1^st October
After being nominated by your home university, you will receive a link via e-mail for registration at DHBW.
Registration deadline for nominated students/submission of the relevant documents:  15^th October

Please note that all foreign exchange students must choose courses that mount up to at least 15 ECTS per semester.
