Public Holidays
In Germany, there are several public holidays throughout the year. In addition, there are regional holidays which are only celebrated in certain German states. Please note that businesses and stores are closed on public holidays. Only a limited number of restaurants, gas stations and pharmacies may operate during public holidays.
Some businesses may alter their operating hours on the days preceding public holidays. Consequently, it's advisable to plan activities and engagements accordingly.
